If you wish to dial the Stargate without the inner ring spinning you can turn this feature on by going to the menu > options > ring spin > enable.

To dial a random Stargate on the network, simply press the big middle button without pressing any symbols first. If there are any symbols pressed, you may need to reset the DHD first.
If you end up at a gate without a DHD and want to continue random dialling, just say “/d random” to dial the next random gate.
Note: Random dialling or “Gate hopping” is a great way to find new gates and cool places. We highly recommend this for explorers!

If you rez your DHD out of normal chat range from your gate and you wish to stand at the DHD and use a standard /d voice dial you will need to turn on the relay by going to the main menu > options then pressing “CMD Relay”

This feature will operate the iris automatically when the auto iris is enabled.
Adding peoples full names to this list will make the iris auto open provided they are wearing the OS Labs AutoGDO or the (OS Labs Alteran PDA v1.4 or the OS Labs Starfleet Tricorder v1.0. Both these items have not yet been released.) Only the owner can add or remove people from this list.

• To add people to your DHDs IDC list use the following commands on channel 1.
• To add someone to the list say: /1 idc add:<name>
• To add multiple people at the same time to the list say: /1 idc add:<name>,<name>,<name> etc.
• To add a group key to the list say: /1 idc add group:<group key> (Use the included object “Get Group Key” to get the key of your group to add to the system)
• To remove someone from the list say: /1 idc remove:<name>
• To remove a group key from the list say: /1 idc remove group:<group key>
• To search to see if someone is on the list say : /1 idc search:<name>
• To see who is on the list say: /1 idc list
• To clear all names from the IDC list say: /1 idc clear

This feature is only accessible by the owner and people on the access list as to prevent abuse of the iris/shield.

To add people to your DHDs authorized users list use the following commands on channel 1.

• To add someone to the list say: /1 add:<name>
• To add multiple people at the same time to the list say: /1 add:<name>,<name>,<name> etc.
• To remove someone to the list say: /1 remove:<name>
• To search to see if someone is on the list say : /1 search:<name>
• To see who is on the list say: /1 list
• To clear all names from the authorized users list say: /1 clear

The DHD has an “auto iris” feature that makes the gates iris close on all incoming wormholes and then reopen upon shutdown so that people can still use your gate for outgoing wormholes. This system uses IDC system.

This feature will either reset the gate or close the iris depending on if the wormhole is an outgoing or incoming going from or to a certain region.
Only the owner can add or remove addresses from this list.

• To add addresses to your DHDs block list use the following commands on channel 1.
• To add someone to the list say: /1 block:<region name>
• To add multiple people at the same time to the list say: /1 block:<region name>,<region name>,<region name> etc.
• To remove someone to the list say: /1 unblock:<region name>
• To see who is on the list say: /1 block list
• To clear all addresses from the list say: /1 clear block list

This function will send a probe to the destination gate to send back various data such as what the sim lag is (time-dilation) sim FPS, parcel name etc.
You can only use this function while there is an outgoing wormhole by saying the following command: /1 send probe

You are able to save your 10 most favourite gate addresses to the DHDs memory crystal which can be called up by pressing the menu button.
To view and dial your saves favourite addresses just go to the main menu and press the “Favourites” button.

To add addresses to this list you must use the following commands…

• To add an address to slot 1 type /1 f1:<network here>:<address here>
• To add an address to slot 2 type /1 f2:<network here>:<address here>
• To add an address to slot 3 type /1 f3:<network here>:<address here>
• To add an address to slot 4 type /1 f4:<network here>:<address here>

And so on until you get to f10. If you wish to delete a single favourites entry just use the command “/1 f1:delete” to delete the entry in slot one for example. Only the owner can do this.
If you wish to clear your whole favourites list you can use the “Clear Fav” button on the Options menu. Only the owner can do this so you don't have to worry about some random person resetting your list.

The DHD has a built in transceiver that allows you to send and receive radio messages via the Stargate.
The radio is on by default and you can turn if off or back on by going to the main menu and pressing the “Radio” button which is under Options.
To send a message through the gate using the computers radio just say your message on channel 8

The DHD will record the last 5 gate addresses dialled which can then be pulled up by pressing the “Outgoing” button on the main menu. To clear the history use the “Clear Out” button in the Options menu. (Only the owner can do this)

Did one of your friends run away through the gate and you didn't catch the address? Just press “Redial” on the main menu and the computer will redial the last address for you.

The DHD will record the last 5 incoming gate addresses which can then be pulled up by pressing the “Incoming” button on the main menu. To clear the incoming history use the “Clear In” button in the Options menu. (Only the owner can do this)

If you wish to call back the last gate that dialled you just press the “Callback” button on the main menu.

The DHD will record the names of the last 5 people to use it. This list can be called up via the menu button and it under options. (Menu > Options > Users)

If you don't know which symbols to dial you can display the corresponding numbers that go with each symbol by pressing the “Show Num” button in the main menu.

The DHD has the ability to send out gate requests to the Alteran gate server.
You can use this function to get your own Alteran gate if you do not already have one, or if you wish to upgrade from Cleary or OpenGate. Just say /1 get gate

This DHD will only work with gates that you own.
The code word is pot noodle.
This DHD has copy perms, so we recommend you make a copy before placing it and keep the original in a safe place, Just in case the asset server goes and looses your only copy.

Fixed some bugs in the system that controls weather or not you want the gates dialling ring to rotate or not.
Updated the IDC system to improve support for large groups of people all sending their IDC codes through the gate.

Required update for the IDC System - the XML-RPC communications systems has been dropped and replaced with the much faster and more reliable http-in system, thus not needing to rely on an external server. 
This makes the IDC system much more reliable and faster than previous versions. Because of this all previous versions are now incompatible and will need to be upgraded. Updates are free as always.

Required update for the IDC System code which has extra security checks after someone tried to hack the system. They failed but it flooded our logs with false readings and also confused the GDOs.

Beta 1 code scrapped and ported the code over from the SGC/Midway Dialing Computers as I have been working on them a lot more than I have the DHDs.
OS DHD now has all the features that the dialing computers has.
Main features include:
IDC system with multiple group support.
Access list for setting up the DHD and operation of the iris.
Address blocker
Ori redial animations
Gate radio
Last 5 incoming and outgoing wormhole addresses
Favourites list supporting all gate networks
And lots more but I won't list them all as I'm tired hehe.

Full rewrite of all scripts to made the DHD more efficient and also to reduce server script time thus reducing sim script lag.

DHD now records the gate name/alias for all incoming and outgoing wormholes as to make redial and call-back more accurate. Used to just store the sim name which would dial the main gate for that region. (This function is for Arcturus gates only)
Remodelled the base of the DHD to look more like the DHDs on the show.
Made a new texture for the front middle of the base.

Fixed a bug in the favourites function which caused it to loose it's settings. This bug only popped up in 1 or 2 DHDs but has been fixed anyway.

Fixed a bug where the inner ring of symbols in Arcturus mode would light up with the wrong texture when told to light up via voice dial.
Updated the addressing system in Arcturus mode to match the new system used on the Arcturus gates. Old system was 2-37, new one is now 1-36. Pre 3.4 OS DHD's will no longer dial the correct address when direct dialling using the buttons.
Now supports the Alteran voice dial command "dhd:" So for example you can say dhd:cleary and the DHD will show you the address as well as dial the gate.
As of version 3.4 the old email update server will no longer be used as it was slow and kept breaking. OS Labs now use the hippoUpdate Server which uses HTTP. Much better.

Updated DHD to work with the new Arcturus v2 gates, pre 3.3 OS DHDs will no longer work with older Arcturus gates
Also fixed the textures on the sides of the symbol buttons, looks better now.

Fixed a typo that caused :22 to appear where :21 should have been in Cleary mode. Oops, sorry guys. All fixed now.

Spent hours remodelling the symbol buttons to make them slope up towards the PoO in the middle.
Changed a lot of commands to keep the DHD working with the Arcturus gates which have now been fully released. You will need a new gate, pre 3.2 OS DHDs will no longer work on Arcturus.
Added in functionality to lookup your gate address in Arcturus mode
Added in a special feature that will show an address of a voice dialled address on the symbol pad.

Fixes a bug that was introduced by the Ori redial animation effect which cripples direct dialling when in Cleary mode.

Finally after hours and hours of work the new version of the OS DHD with Arcturus support is finally finished! =^.^=
This release works with the new Arcturus Stargate Network and supports all the same features as the Cleary mode of the DHD.

Iris control has been moved from a prim button to the main menu which cuts off one prim from the DHD and also restricts access to the function to everyone but the owner as to prevent abuse.
A few minor database changes have been made over version 2.2

This is a RUSH UPDATE due to the new database ping being too low on the DHD which caused the server it is hosted on to run out of memory and crash, which brought down the new Arcturus gate network. 
Oops. We are not sure if it was the DHD that caused this but as a precaution the ping time has been drastically increased. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just a quick update before the release of the massive update that will allow the DHD to be used on both the Cleary and Arcturus (Pegasus) gate networks.
This release is just a few very minor bug fixes, updated database that will issue an update notice the second the next update is available which can be acquired via the menu and "Update?" button. 
There are also some prim changes to make it look more like the DHD on the show.

Added in the much requested sounds that can also be turned on or off by the owner.
All textures now load faster then they used to and also some have been updated with higher rez versions to make the symbols easier to read.
The DHD now has the ability to dial gates both on the Cleary and Alteran gate networks.
Addresses with 5 or less symbols will now refuse to dial and trigger a DHD reset
Addresses with 6 symbols will dial gates on the Alteran addressing system
Addresses with 7 symbols will dial gates on the Cleary addressing system
Info text now displays the address being dialled on which network
Added a new button to the main menu that will display the gates current direct dial address on the DHD's info text display.

DHD now gives the owner the help notecard on rez as some people had no ides how to use the DHD, didn't even know it had a menu button.
Updated the guide to act as a HUD item now to save you having to rez it on the ground. Makes dialling easier.
Fixed a bug where when pressing the symbols the corresponding number would not appear, this is a bug that came out of the DHD code now using link messages. 
This has now been corrected to now display the number again. Sorry if this has been annoying you.

Added the ability for the owner to check for updates.
DHD database so people with out of date DHD's can get a free update.

Added in a setting that can change the DHD to look like an SG-1 or Atlantis style DHD. Only the owner can control this.
DHD now resets and displays the text "Connection failed" when you try to dial an incorrect address.
Direct dial addressing updated to comply with the new system as of gate OS 113.
Added in a last 5 incoming addresses history with the ability to call back the last gate to dial yours.
Replaced all the text commands with a nice easy to use menu system which can be accessed by touching the long button on the front of the DHD.
DHD no longer has any llistens apart from the gate info one. Now uses link messages which is faster and is lag free so you don't have to worry about your DHD creating any lag, not a sausage.

DHD guide now has a text display saying how long is left until it deletes itself.
Fixed a bug where only the owner of the DHD could get a copy of the guide when "/1 dhd guide" command given. This now works for anyone using the command, as it should have done in the first place.
Fixed a bug where sometimes the DHD will refuse to dial and the red dial button will just turn on and off when touched.

Filtered out that first “incoming:” word on the gates incoming wormholes info as the gate currently says it twice for some reason.

Gate info finally fixed. WOOHOO! Now shows "Wormhole established: <address here> upon successful dial.
Taken out the protocol that stopped the gates ring spinning, due to popular demand, that and the gate looks better when the ring spins.
Fixed a bug in the history that made it remember anything you tired to dial, including stating "random" as an actual address. 
Now it only remembers the address if the gate actually establishes a wormhole. Also works with the random dial properly, which is good.
